Ingredients

Bromelain  |  Pineapple Extract

Bromelain is an enzyme mixture derived from pineapple. It has a long history of use for daily health and can be taken as a supplement to improve the flavor of ejaculate in men and vaginal fluid in women.  Supports overall health and wellness Improves semen & vaginal fluid flavor The Short Answer. Studies suggest that bromelain promotes general wellness through immune-modulating and anti-inflammatory mechanisms. Bromelain is an effective and natural supplement to improve semen flavor and vaginal fluid taste. Always consult a healthcare provider when taking any new supplements. Bromelain is available as an ingredient in:  Load Boost: Increase Semen Volume & Improve Taste What is Bromelain? Bromelain is a protein-digesting enzyme mixture derived from the stem, fruit, and juice of the pineapple plant. It has a centuries-long history of being used to treat medical ailments, primarily throughout Central and South America.  It was first isolated in 1891 and formally named in 1892 (1). It is present in all parts of the pineapple plant, but the stem is the most common commercial source (2). Why Supplement Bromelain? Bromelain promotes general wellness through several immune-modulating and anti-inflammatory mechanisms. This means that bromelain can be useful both for keeping you healthy, and for recovery after sickness or strenuous physical activity.  Bromelain is also a popular ingredient used in sexual health supplements for its properties as a flavor enhancer. Bromelain is often supplemented in conjunction with other sexual health supplements such as lecithin and pygeum. Bromelain for Daily Health Scientific studies have investigated the possible application of bromelain in treating cardiovascular* and blood-clotting diseases, reducing inflammation, and in the treatment certain cancers (3).  Bromelain shows particular promise as an inhibitor of metastatic cancers (4). Bromelain for Men's Sexual Health Improving Semen Flavor Bromelain is also taken as a supplement to improve the taste of male ejaculate ("precum" and "cum"). Regular supplementation imparts a sweet or lightly fruity flavor. This effect is well-documented anecdotally with a great amount of discussion surrounding the best way to improve semen flavor through bromelain supplementation. While consumption of pineapple alone can improve the flavor of semen, it is generally cheaper and more convenient to supplement bromelain directly. Getting the sexual benefits of pineapple is made significantly easier through supplementation as compared to eating large amounts of pineapple fruit daily. How Does Bromelain Make Semen Taste Better? The improvement in ejaculate flavor from bromelain is thought to be the result of its ability to break down molecules that are responsible for unpleasant odors and tastes in your body (5). More peer-reviewed research is needed to establish the exact mechanism of this effect. Bromelain for Sex Drive Bromelain is commonly used to mediate a variety of aspects of one's health: cardiovascular and metabolic health, mood and mental health, and microbiome and inflammation. That being said, we are not aware of any studies that suggest that bromelain impacts sex drive. Bromelain for Women's Sexual Health Improve Vaginal Fluid Flavor Bromelain has more recently started to gain popularity as a supplement to improve the taste of vaginal fluid. Similar to the way that bromelain improves semen taste, regular supplementation reportedly imparts a sweet or lightly fruity flavor to vaginal fluid.  As with ejaculate flavor, the improvement in the flavor of vaginal fluid is thought to come from the enzymatic activity of bromelain, which may break down unpleasant aromatic compounds in the body (5). Is Bromelain Safe? Bromelain is generally recognized as a safe substance (GRAS) by the FDA (6). Research into clinical applications of bromelain have shown it to be non-toxic and low in side effects (7).  Nevertheless, two groups should exercise caution when supplementing bromelain:  Those who are allergic to pineapple should avoid bromelain. Those who are on blood-thinning medications: Bromelain has an antiplatelet effect which may be contraindicated for those on blood-thinning medications. Pineapple extract can be an excellent addition to your daily diet. In addition to benefits for sexual health, it is good for your skin and hair, boosts your immune system, and can improve cardiovascular health. A doctor or other healthcare professional should be consulted before taking any new supplements or medications. They can help you understand better any potential interactions and recommend appropriate changes. ✔️ References 1. Chittenden RH, Joslin EP, Meara FS (1892). Lecithin: A Scientifically-backed Supplement for Sex

Lecithin is a term for a mixture of compounds derived from animal and plant tissues. Lecithin has been shown to reduce cholesterol (1), dampen cortisol responses in situations of social stress (2), and to increase semen volume. Lecithin is available as an ingredient in: Load Boost: Increase Semen Volume & Improve Semen Taste Green Boost: 21 Different Super Fruits and Veggies  The Short Answer. Studies suggest that lecithin reduces cholesterol, reduces stress, and improves cognition. Lecithin reliably increases semen volume and improves sperm health. What is Lecithin? Lecithin is a term for a mixture of compounds derived from animal and plant sources. Lecithins are amphiphilic (meaning they attract both water and fats) and belong to a larger group of compounds called phospholipids. Phospholipids like lecithin comprise important parts of the brain, blood, nerves, and other tissues (3). Lecithin can also be found naturally in foods. Foods that contain lecithin include: Soybeans Wheat germ Peanuts Liver Egg yolks Lecithin can also be found in over the counter supplements. Why take a Lecithin supplement? Lecithin supplements are commonly used to improve the following aspects of one's health: Testosterone levels. Testosterone is a sex hormone that’s responsible for your fertility and sex drive. Sperm count. The amount of sperm your body naturally produces can affect how much semen you produce Sperm motility. Healthy sperm are measured by how well and how fast they can swim in your semen. This can affect your semen volume. Erectile dysfunction. Your ability to get and keep an erection can affect how much semen you produce. Libido. Your desire to have sex can impact your semen volume. The major sources of lecithin in diet are from red meat, seafood, eggs, and legumes (4). While there is no recommended daily intake amount, dosages found to be effective for reducing cholesterol, reducing stress, and increasing semen volume are generally easiest to obtain when taking a daily lecithin supplement in conjunction with a diet rich in whole foods. Benefits of Lecithin for Sexual Health One of major lecithin benefits for men is that Lecithin supplementation reliably increases semen volume. This has been found to be true in both in humans and in animals. While no double-blinded human studies on semen volume and lecithin have been carried out, lecithin supplementation in animal models have shown significant increases in semen volume. Seminal fluid volume and sperm quality Lecithin supplementation over a period of three months increased semen volume by 17.5% in rabbits (7) and 14.2% in roosters (8). Markers of sperm health and mobility were also improved in both studies. Erection firmness Lecithin alongside other supplements such as pygeum and zinc increase the volume enhancing effects of lecithin. Nitric Oxide increasing supplements that increase blood flow such as L-Arginine can improve sexual performance and pleasure. Combining lecithin with a semen flavor enhancing supplement (such as bromelain) is another popular combination. Pre-cum volume (pre-ejaculatory fluid) Lecithin supplementation reliably increases semen volume. Precum is largely composed of the same things as ejaculate or cum. If you increase semen volume, you increase precum. Lecithin therefore can be expected to increase the amount of precum that you produce. While individual physiological differences set each person's baseline levels of precum lecithin supplementation is one way to reliably increase the amounts that you produce. Precum volume is also a function of sexual arousal. The more turned on you are, the more precum you produce. In addition to natural sources of Lecithin, it can also be found in supplements like Load Boost, which is specially formulated to increase semen volume, precum volume, and orgasm intensity. Lecithin for Heart Health There is robust data showing that lecithin supplementation reduces total cholesterol in patients while high cholesterol.  In one study, administration of 500 mg of lecithin per day reduced total cholesterol levels by 40% and LDL ("bad cholesterol") by 56% in a two month period (5).  This is a considerable reduction in cholesterol levels on the order of many pharmaceutical interventions, for example, statins can be expected to reduce LDL by between 30-50% (6). Lecithin for Cognition and Focus In the diet, lecithin is the main source of choline (3). Choline is an essential nutrient and critical to the nervous system. Choline is commonly supplemented to improve memory and mental functioning.  Lecithin is also converted into acetylcholine, a substance that is critical for transmitting nerve impulses. Lecithin was shown to improve memory, mood, and cognition in a three month, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (9). Is Lecithin Safe? Lecithin is naturally occurring in a variety of common foods such as meat, eggs, fish, and legumes. Most individuals consume lecithin in some form within their day-to-day diet. As a supplement and as a food additive Lecithin is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA (10). This means that it is considered safe by experts under the conditions of its intended use. Lecithin is sourced from eggs, soy, and sunflower seeds. While some protein residues may remain from the manufacturing process these protein residues are normally not high enough to provoke allergic reactions (11). Nevertheless, exercise caution if you are allergic to these foods. The highest quality lecithin supplements are typically isolated from soybeans. ✔️ References 1. L-Arginine

L-arginine is an amino acid naturally found in red meat, poultry, fish, and dairy. It is necessary for making proteins and is commonly used for circulation. L-arginine is converted in the body into a chemical called nitric oxide. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to open wider for improved blood flow. Increases orgasm intensity and erection firmness Increases blood flow and improves circulation THE SHORT ANSWER. L-arginine is converted in the body into a chemical called nitric oxide. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to open wider for improved blood flow. L-arginine also stimulates the release of growth hormone, insulin, and other substances in the body. L-arginine plays a role in sperm formation and prevents sperm membrane oxidation leading to improved sperm quality Available as an ingredient in:  Load Boost: Increased Semen Volume, Better Feeling Orgasm What is L-Arginine? L-arginine is an amino acid naturally found in red meat, poultry, fish, and dairy. It is necessary for making proteins and is commonly used for circulation. (1) In the body, L-arginine is used to make nitric acid which opens blood vessels and improves blood flow. This includes the blood vessels of the penis. (2)  Stress, illness, trauma, premature birth, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and other health conditions may increase the number of enzymes in the body that break down arginine. To compensate for this loss of arginine you may need to get some from your diet. This makes L-Arginine a conditionally essential amino acid. (3) Why Supplement L-Arginine? In addition to L-Arginine's role as an essential amino acid, arginine supplementation is used to treat various blood flow issues such as erectile dysfunction and because L-Arginine stimulates the release of substances such as growth hormones in the body. Taking L-arginine can reduce blood pressure in healthy people, people with high blood pressure, and people with slightly high blood pressure with or without diabetes. (4) L-Arginine for Firmer Erections Even for those without diagnosed erectile dysfunction (ED) increased blood flow and vasodilation is associated with increased ease in obtaining and maintaining an erection. (5)  L-Arginine improves erections and male sensation by increasing the levels of nitric oxide in the body. L-Arginine supplements help achieve firmer erections and reduce refractory periods (the period of time between orgasms where you are unable to get an erection). What does L-Arginine Do Sexually? L-Arginine improves orgasm sensation by improving overall circulation and blood flow. L-Arginine increases the levels of nitric oxide in the body which in turn causes blood vessels to relax. This process is referred to as "vasodilation". Overall blood flow and circulation is important in the body's processes of sexual arousal. Increase blood flow to the penis is responsible for the erections in men and increased blood flow to the clitoris is responsible for increases sensation in the clitoris. L-Arginine improves orgasm sensation and is often paired with other supplements such as pygeum and zinc that increase semen volume.  How Long Does it Take for L-Arginine to Work Sexually? L-Arginine begins to increase nitric oxide levels in the body immediately after consumption. L-Arginine supplements are beneficial for sex and general heath regardless of when they are taken: L-Arginine may be taken immediately before sex for fast-acting increases in blood flow or taken as a daily supplement to improve overall circulation in the body. Does Nitric Oxide Help Sexually? Nitric oxide plays a critical role in achieving and maintaining erection due to it's role in promoting blood flow . You cannot directly supplement nitric oxide, however L-Arginine is rapidly converted to nitric oxide in the body and therefore L-Arginine supplementation increases nitric oxide levels in the body. L-Arginine for General Health The amino acid arginine is needed to produce sperm. Research shows that several months of L-arginine supplementation increases sperm count, quality, and fertility. At very high intakes, the amino acid arginine has increased growth hormone levels, which stimulate muscle growth. Trials combining weight training with arginine and ornithine showed decreases in body fat (6) and increases in total strength and lean body mass.  ✔️ References 1. WebMD. (n.d.).
